The site of the newspaper Highland News talked about the Voodoo / The Ex knife set and the controversy it occasionally triggers in some people who come across it and say they are shocked by the product.

This time it was Mrs Sylvia MacDonald who complained, who saw the famous object designed by Raffaele Iannello in the Brodie Countryfayre store, but whose spokesperson explained that the product is very well sold and has never upset anyone.

A couple of years earlier, still there in the UK, a similar protest had even reached parliament and the Advertising Standards Authority had to intervene to affirm that the product does not violate any law and is neither offensive nor violent.
