The website of the Top Legal magazine also talks about the Voodoo / The Ex knife set.
The title of the article is: “Mattina gets the cross-border injunction to block the counterfeit Voodoo holder” and the text says: “Defended by Francesco Mattina of Gemma Mannino Mattina Richichi, a law firm in Rome, and by Veronica Terrazzi in Florence, Raffaele Iannello, designer of the famous Voodoo knife block (also known in the US as The Ex) obtained, by the intellectual property department of the Florence Court, the seizure to protect the copyright of the products referred to Voodoo (and other products by designer Iannello) distributed by Edizioni Design spa and Viceversa International Limited. The measure also provides for the cross-border injunction to be effective abroad. Other measures of copyright protection were also recognised, as a result of the recent implementation of the enforcement of industrial property rights directive. The extent of the injunction cross-border, that is, with cross-border effect, represents a significant innovation especially in relation to a industrial design product for which the rules of copyright were deemed applicable.”
