Triennale della Ceramica d’Arte
The 2009 edition of the Triennale della Ceramica d’Arte Contemporanea (Triennal of Contemporary Ceramic Art), curated by Carla Subrizi and Nello Teodori, took place from May 30th to July 18th in Gualdo Tadino (close to Perugia) inside the Church of San Francesco. After the exhibition, all the artworks were exhibited at the Abitare il Tempo trade fair in Verona. Subsequently, they returned to Gualdo Tadino to be exhibited in the rooms of the Rocca Flea Civic Museum, where they are now part of the permanent collection.
There are two main sections in which the exhibition has been divided: the “Design and production” section characterized by a fuchsia color graphic layout and the “Contemporary tradition” section characterized by a blue graphic layout. The artists invited to participate (including Sergio Calatroni, Antonella Cimatti, Luca Degara, Roberto Giacomucci, Raffaele Iannello, Niklas Jacob, Ugo La Pietra, Walter Vallini) presented works belonging to one of the two sections or both.
Raffaele Iannello presented the Ceramic Bombs jars, from the XXXitchen collection, in the “Design and production” section and the Shiny Figure vase in the “Contemporary Tradition” section.
The works exhibited at the Triennale of Contemporary Art Ceramics are also present in the homonymous book published by Silvana Editoriale.
