Shiny Figure
The Shiny Figure sculpture designed by Raffaele Iannello catches the eye thanks to its brightness and the skill with which it is made. This piece of extraordinary workmanship has been modeled by hand in ceramic using the luster, a particular decorative technique which allows to obtain colors with iridescent or iridescent shades.
The sinuous, sensual and organic shape of Shiny Figure evokes the elegance of a chess pawn. Every curve and detail has been crafted with great skill, giving the artwork a feeling of harmony and balance. The observer is immediately attracted by the features and colors of this artwork. The body of the sculpture is a vibrant blue, which uniquely catches the light and reflects iridescent hues. Above it sits a bold orange collar, creating a dynamic contrast and adding an extra element of vibrancy to the artwork. The head, represented by a sphere, follows the same shade of blue as the body, completing the whole harmoniously.
The artwork made its debut in 2009, when it was exhibited with great success at the prestigious Triennale exhibition of Contemporary Art Ceramics. It has since been included in the permanent collection of the Gualdo Tadino Ceramics Museum, where it continues to enchant art and design lovers with its beauty and its ability to evoke deep emotions. Shiny Figure represents an extraordinary marriage between contemporary aesthetics and traditional craftsmanship. This sculpture not only captures the eye, but also the imagination, inviting the audience to reflect on the infinite nuances of art and human experience.
The first samples were made in ceramic but in the future the artwork will also come in other materials: Shiny Figure will in fact be available in several versions, each with its own emotional impact and specificity of use. In one of its incarnations, the sphere representing the head will be made of white glass, inside which a light source will be hidden. This version then transforms into a lamp that gives off a soft and relaxing light, creating a suggestive atmosphere in the surrounding environment.
