H2O (Milan)
The exhibition H2O (subtitle: New scenarios for survival) curated by Roberto Marcatti, wanted to focus on a resource that is indispensable for human life, water, which unfortunately is becoming increasingly rare in many parts of the world. On the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2006, the curator asked architects, designers and artists to think about the theme and create a work that would best represent it.
Raffaele Iannello presented the work entitled 69%, created by playing on the fact that since we are made of water, we are attracted to and we love it. The person we love is in fact 69% water (roughly … the percentage is a little less if his/her body is not thin and athletic).
During the exhibition a publication was also presented, in which all the works exhibited were collected, supplemented by essays by writers and scientists. After Milan, the exhibition also took place in other cities, including Montreal in 2008.
